Prince Harry was called “that fool” by his father, King Charles, following Harry’s criticism of the Royal Family in a Netflix documentary, according to a leaked book obtained by The Sun.
King Charles in his book, the “Endgame,” reportedly reacts to his son’s series, which focuses on Harry’s choice to talk about disagreements within the royal family.
Comments in the book from its author, Omid Scobie, read: “At the Palace, heads were in hands and migraines were brewing.” An aide quoted as saying: “(The show) took the wind out of everyone’s sails… (He) went from not wanting anyone to talk about his son to openly criticizing ‘that fool.’”
These comments were in response to a documentary released as part of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s $100 million deal with the streaming platform. The documentary revolves around family issues within the Royal Family.
In the same book, it is claimed that Prince William and Kate Middleton found the South Park episode mocking the Sussexes amusing. The episode “The Worldwide Privacy Tour,” was reportedly considered “hilarious” by the future king and queen.
Endgame also makes claims about the pampered lifestyle of the King, who is said to demand his shoelaces are ironed and his 1,000 thread count bedsheets perfectly steamed.
The book claims, “When laces get even the smallest bit threadbare, a staff member must quickly switch them out with a fresh, ironed pair.”
“There is even a rumour (one that, surprisingly, sources have confirmed) that Charles likes to have someone squeeze exactly one inch of toothpaste on to his toothbrush for him ahead of his bedtime routine.”
The book says Prince William and King Charles were destined to clash.
However, Author Phil Dampier has thrown it out as “rubbish”.
“They’ve grown incredibly close and there is no way in which William would do anything to undermine him,” he said according to Daily Star.
