Water level in Mullaperiyar dam on November 17 stood at 132.60 feet (permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 2,407 cusecs and a discharge of 105 cusecs.
In Vaigai dam, the level was 69.42 ft. (maximum level 71 ft.) with an inflow of 705 cusecs and a discharge of 1,899 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 8,334 mcft. Rainfall recorded in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Friday was (in mm): Sothupparai dam 5, Mullaperiyar dam 4, Thekkadi and Madurai 0.2.
