“Su-Swagatam” Mobile Application For Indian Visa.
PUBLIC NOTICE
The Indian Government has launched the mobile application ‘Su-Swagatam’ to facilitate procedures for foreign nationals wishing to travel to India. This application constitutes a one-stop solution to meet all the needs of foreigners visiting India. The services offered include:
(a) Single access to Indian visa related services in India through e-FRRO (Extension of visa, visa conversion, exit permit, etc. in India);
(b) Ability to check the progress of your visa application (e-Visa and standard visa) with ability to download the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA), if approved;
(c) Links to essential information regarding FRROs, embassies, establishments medical, security authorities, etc.;
(d) Weekly alerts regarding visa expiry
(e) Electronic submission of “Form C” (registration requirement for foreigners in hotels and other accommodation);
(f) Fast Track Immigration under the Trusted Traveler Program (FTI-TTP) for OCI cardholders;
(g) Language support – text and audio (with Google trial version);
(h) Visa on arrival form in Arabic, Japanese and Korean;
(i) Facilitation of filling out visa application forms with multilingual support in 13 foreign languages, eligibility and fee calculator, integrated approved payment gateways;
(j) Location-based services such as nearest tourist spots, hotels, Indian hospitals licensed, transportation, recreation, health and wellness services, yoga institutions foreground, spirituality programs, etc.;
(k) Information on potential business prospects in India as well as initiatives of the Indian government to facilitate doing business in India;
(l) Emergency services and helpline for foreigners during their stay in India;
(m) Information on income tax, customs and exchange rules for foreigners and non-residents;
(n) Chatbot for FAQs and general guidelines.
