Bengaluru: The Special Investigation Team, which was created to investigate the reported sexual abuse cases involving Hassan JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, has arrested four additional individuals in relation to the abduction of a woman, as per information from sources within the SIT on Thursday.
Prajwal’s father and Holenarasipura MLA H D Revanna have already been arrested by the SIT and are currently in judicial custody at the Parappana Agrahara Central Jail.Revanna, who is 66 years old, is the son of the former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda.
According to the police, the four individuals were detained to determine their involvement in the case. Sathish Babanna, an associate of Revanna, has also been arrested and is currently in police custody. On Wednesday, Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara mentioned that a third individual had been arrested but refrained from disclosing their identity, citing investigative protocols.
Revanna and Babanna were initially arrested on charges of kidnapping a woman, who is a mother of three, from her residence and unlawfully detaining her, as per police sources.
The woman has been successfully rescued, as per the sources. The police took action against the 20-year-old son of the victim woman, who accused that his mother was featured in the large collection of explicit videos that were recently leaked, involving women who were purportedly raped and molested by Prajwal. All four individuals are from Krishnaraja Nagara in Mysuru.
